Meet The Team

Marcos Grupp

Operations Manager

Marcos joined Building Blocks in 2023 providing executive and administrative support to the team. Marcos specializes in finding creative solutions to issues and implementing new processes and systems company wide as well as coordinating with subcontractors and vendors. Marcos also oversees graphics and branding for the company, and manages our socials, give us a follow on Instagram or Facebook. When he’s not saving the day at Building Blocks, Marcos enjoys donating his time as a volunteer providing economic and educational support to homeless and orphaned teenagers and hanging out with his pet beagle Max.

Keren Rosario

Human Resources

Keren Rosario has acted as Operations Manager for Building Blocks Developers since 2019. She originally joined Building Blocks as an administrative assistant, but was soon promoted to office manager and eventually Operations Manager. Her problem solving skills and critical thinking have made her an invaluable member of the team. When she’s not supporting our team, you can find Keren skating along the lakefront with her two pitbulls, or sipping margaritas poolside on a rooftop.

Eduardo Elquazabal

Electrical Foreman

As Electrical Foreman Eduardo supervises the work of all site operatives and ensures that all work is completed safely, on-time, and on-budget. He is adept at managing projects including equipment and materials needed for interior construction or restoration. Eduardo takes pride in ensuring each project not only meets but exceeds client expectations. He brings extensive knowledge of construction and craftsmanship to the Building Blocks team.

Omar Guzman

Construction Manager

Omar has been a part of the Building Blocks Developers team since its creation in 2015. As interior foreman he provides operational support to crews and manages day to day operations, equipment maintenance and repair, materials and scheduling. Omar brings over 15 years of experience managing construction crews and restoration projects to the team. When he’s not helping bring your vision to life, Omar enjoys spending time with his wife and children grilling a mean steak in the garden.

Rick Berrios

Field Representative

As founder and Chief Operating officer for Building Blocks, Rick provides the vision and structure that has allowed the company to flourish. Born and raised in Chicago, Rick is a true entrepreneur. He opened his first company in 2002, Wiring Experts which grew from a team of 2 tackling $5000 interior projects, to multiple crews completing $500,000 plus commercial projects. His success cemented a passion for developing businesses and employees and helping grow them to their full potential. Rick started Building Blocks Developers in 2015 in order to tap into a larger market of commercial projects in the Chicagoland area. He is passionate about helping clients execute their vision and knowledgeable about the best solutions available. When he’s not overseeing your next big project you’ll find Rick enjoying time with his beautiful family and learning about Cryptocurrency.
